2.5.0 is the planned next major release of Osiris. This release will include a lot of potentially breaking changes (see footnote).

Planned for 2.5.0:

• Wayland support
• Final fixes to ensure 100% ability to install side-by-side with newer Qt versions
• Fully functional clipboard
• Markdown support
• Revamped documentation

By breaking changes, we mean binary or package breaking changes: as a general rule, Osiris aims to be largely source compatible. The 2.5.x series will likely introduce some source breaking changes as a matter of necessity, though they are limited as much as possible, and will be noted in the Porting instructions.
